Banks across various Indian states will observe holidays on August 27 and August 28, 2025, in connection with Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, according to the RBI’s official holiday calendar. On August 27, the first day of the festival, branches will remain closed in states such as Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, Puducherry, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Goa, On August 28, certain states observe a second festival-related bank holiday. Goa will remain closed in respect of Ganesh Chaturthi’s second day, while Odisha will be closed for the Nuakhai festival. Regardless of branch closures, digital banking services—such as UPI, mobile apps, ATMs, net-banking—remain active throughout, ensuring uninterrupted customer service.
